Joseph P. Holicki, D.O. is a board certified Ophthalmologist and is the founder of the Holicki Eye Centers, Established in 1994. Dr. Holicki is a graduate of Michigan State University. His residency in ophthalmology comes from the Detroit Osteopathic Consortium of Ophthalmology in affiliation with Michigan State University. Dr. Holicki specializes in Glaucoma management and treatment, no-stitch cataract surgery, age related macular degeneration, ocular manifestations of diabetes, refractive surgery, and ophthalmic plastic surgery.
Dr. Joseph P. Holicki is also a Laser certified ophthalmologist. He is the first ophthalmologist in Michigan to perform LASEK vision correction surgery for the treatment of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Dr. Holicki also became the first ophthalmologist in Michigan to insert Intacs for the correction of mild nearsightedness. Because of the significant safety feature with LASEK and Intacs, compared to LASIK, Dr. Holicki no longer performs the LASIK procedure.
Dr. Holicki strives to keep his patients informed of the latest ophthalmic advances. He lectures often and trains resident physicians routinely. Most recently, he became a provider of the first FDA approved vision technology that improves near vision, Near Vision CK (Conductive Keratoplasty), a three minute, laser-free procedure that is extremely safe as there is no cutting or tissue removal.
Dr. Holicki is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, the American Osteopathic Association and the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
Timothy R. Harrison, M.D. grew up in Concord, New Hampshire. He attended Michigan State University, graduating from The School of Engineering with Honors in 1995. He was awarded "The Distinguished College Freshman Scholarship for Academics" and the Harry Hodges Scholarship as the top student in the computer science department. He was elected to the Tao Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society and was a member of the Honors College as well.
During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Harrison worked at a camp for the blind and visually impaired. It was this experience that motivated him to make the commitment to help protect people's sight.
Dr. Harrison obtained his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 2000. He was awarded Honors in his surgery externship.
His ophthalmology residency was completed at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. During his studies he was published in the journal of Investigative Ophthalmology of Visual Sciences.
Dr. Harrison is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He specializes in cataract surgery, eyelid surgery, glaucoma treatment, macular degeneration and diabetic eye care. He enjoys working with patients of all ages from toddlers to grandparents - providing complete family medical eye care.
Dr. Harrison is passionate about music which has always been a part of his life. He was a member of the "All State Honors Jazz Band" at Concord High School, the Michigan State Marching Band and continues today as a member of a barber shop quartet.
Dr. Harrison enjoys fishing, canoeing, jogging, remote control airplanes, tennis, golf and skiing. He resides in Middlebury with his wife Susan and his two children, Joseph and Jack.
